Dr. Sydney Brenner, Nobel Prize winner in Medicine (2002), speaks on "Biology: The Art of the Satisfactory" at the Roda Theatre at the Berkeley Repertory on MONDAY, April 9, at 8:00 pm. FREE ADMISSION.

Dr. SYDNEY BRENNER is a pioneer in genetics and molecular biology whose work established the existence of messenger RNA and demonstrated how the order of amino acids in proteins is determined. His recent studies are leading to a new understanding of the evolution of vertebrates.
Additionally, Dr. Brenner will be giving three lectures on biology for mathematicians: on Monday, April 9 at 4 p.m. at MSRI; on Tuesday, April 10 at 4:10 p.m. at UCB’s Etcheverry Hall, Rm. 3113; and on Thursday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at MSRI.
