Inverse hyperbolic problems and optical(acoustic)black holes.

Speakers:
Gregory Eskin

Abstract:

We consider the inverse problem for the second order hyperbolic
equation of general form with applications to the equation of
the propagation of light in the moving medium(the Gordon equation).
When conditions of the main theorem are not satisfied the black(or white)
holes may appear. We give sufficient conditions for the existence of
black or white holes.
