Legendrian knots II

Wednesday January 27, 2010

11:00AM - 12:00PM

Speakers:
Lenhard Ng

Abstract:

In this lecture, we will explore applications of various knot homologies
to Legendrian and transverse knots. These include the transverse invariant in knot Floer homology due to Ozsvath-Szabo-Thurston and related transverse invariants in Khovanov and Khovanov-Rozansky homology, as well as bounds on Thurston-Bennequin and self-linking numbers from knot homologies.
