Global existence for elastic waves in an exterior domain

Abstract:
In this joint work with Jason Metcalfe we prove global existence for three dimensional elastic waves outside of a nontrapping obstacle with small initial diplacements. The elastic solid is homogeneous, isotropic and hyperelastic. Furthermore the nonlinearity is assumed to satisfy a null condition.
