Mutations of quivers with potentials and derived equivalences

Wednesday April 2, 2008

09:30AM - 10:30AM

Speakers:
Bernhard Keller

Abstract:

Mutations of quivers with potentials were recently introduced by
Derksen-Weyman-Zelevinsky with motivations coming from superpotentials
in physics, Calabi-Yau algebras and cluster algebras. Mutations can be
thought of as a far-reaching generalization of Bernstein-Gelfand-Ponomarev
reflections. We will show how mutations give rise to equivalences
between the derived categories of certain differential graded algebras
introduced by Ginzburg. This is joint work with Dong Yang.
