Wave equations and the Penrose process in Kerr geometry
Abstract: I will present a rigorous proof of super-radiance, the wave analogue of the Penrose process, for the scalar wave equation in the Kerr metric. This is joint work with Felix Finster, Joel Smoller and Shing-Tung Yau.
