| MSRI's event, "Philip Glass in Conversation with Robert Osserman," drew connections between mathematics and Philip Glass' music. Glass composed the score to the QATSI trilogy and won an Oscar for his music score for "The Truman Show" (2000). While Osserman described the QATSI trilogy as "visions of technological romance," Glass self-deprecatingly said, "There's no mathematics to my music, just arithmetic." |
