| Glass wrote the soundtracks for the three documentary films, "Koyaanisqatsi'' (1982), "Powaqqatsi'' (1988) and "Naqoyqatsi'' (2002). His ensemble, conducted by Michael Riesman, will perform a modified score over three nights. With no dialogue, the films are visually spectacular meditations on the effects of technology on primitive and modern cultures. They're held together largely by Glass's pulsating and insistent music. |
