=============== PROPOSE A 2007 WORKSHOP AT BANFF ===============

The Banff International Research Station (BIRS) is now accepting
proposals for its 2007 program. Full information, guidelines, and
online forms are available at: http://www.pims.math.ca/birs The
deadline for proposals for 5-day Workshop and Summer School is OCTOBER
14, 2005. Proposals for Research in Teams and Focused Research Groups
can be submitted any time at least 4 months before the requested start
date.

===================== ARCHIMEDES SOCIETY =======================

The Archimedes Society has been initiated to help MSRI diversify and plan
its future funding. Archimedes Society donor levels celebrate interesting
numbers. For example, the Cubic Donor level of $258 to $729 references a
number important to Plato - 729 - and a cube that is the sum of three cubes.
Donors at the Museion level ($5,041+) are invited to two dinner/lectures in
Berkeley and one in New York. To join the Archimedes Society, please go to
http://www.msri.org/alumdev/archimedes/index_html

MSRI would also welcome mention in your Will or Living Trust.
Visit http://www.msri.org/alumdev/ways/index_html for more information, and
to make a contribution via a secure server.
