Feature Detection, Feature Descriptions, Matching, Warping

MSRI Workshop for Women in Mathematics: Introduction to Image Analysis
January 22, 2005 09:30 AM to 10:15 AM
Speakers:
VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Summary:

Motivation for image matching comes from problems such as scene reconstruction from multiple views and object recognition using feature models. Initially all models would assume that object went through either linear or affine transform and that appearance depends only on radiance. Modern approaches are trying to relax these assumptions.
