In this talk, new algorithm called NCA (Neighborhood Component Analysis) is introduced. NCA assumes nothing about the class distributions and the shape of the separating surface, but still has an excellent performance. Rowies briefly talks about the manifold learning on 3 perspectives- dimension reduction, latent factor model and density estimation.
