VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Summary:

Levina proposed a new method for estimating intrinsic dimension of a dataset derived by applying the maximum likelihood to the distances between neighbors. It is based on estimators derived by a Poisson process approximation. She also evaluated its bias and variance and applied it to several data sets.
