SHORTCUT:

How the Cortex Works.

Emphasis Week on Neurobiological Vision
February 08, 2005 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM
Speakers:
VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Summary:

A Model for a common algorithm for each neocortical region has been introduced: A hierarchical memory model that predicts future events by analogy to past events. Each region stores sequences and predicts the next element in
the sequence. In the feed forward passway, each region passes a sequence name up. In the feedback passway, each region converts invariant predictions into specific predictions and passes the specific prediction down.
