Summary: |
The geometry of shading flow, in particular at surface boundaries, has been analyzed. Shading flow measurement is noisy and can be improved by contextual inference. Psychophysical evidence for the relevance of local curvature in
texture segmentation has been demonstrated. Local curvature can be modeled using Frenet geometry. Psychophysical and anatomical evidence for collinear and co-circular facilitation have been compared. The model can be applied to local geometry in color (hue) space. |
