Summary:

This short lecture describes a natural compactification of the moduli
space of an arrangement of hyperplanes. The compactification is
constructed by the use of minimal models and stable pairs. It is shown
that there is a alternate compactification embedded in the Hilbert scheme.
These compactifications are equivalent which gives interesting
consequences for stable pairs.
