VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Summary:

The minimal free resolution of the Orlik-Solomon algebra E/I over the exterior algebra E contains much information about the fundamental group of the arrangement complement X. We describe how the change of rings spectral sequence relates. We also sketch the Bernstein-Gelfand correspondence to show how Chen ranks of X are given. When combined with work of Cohen-Suciu, Libgober-Yuzvinsky, and Papadima-Suciu, we obtain a tight lower bound on the Chen ranks of X.
