VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Abstract:

I will describe how to prove exponential convergence to the unique equilibrium of the stochastically forced 2D Navier-Stokes equations when the forcing is minimal. The techniques are quite general and make use of infinite dimensional Malliavin calculus and coupling in the Wasserstein Metric on a function space.
