Abstract:

We will sketch the computation of the height zeta function of toric varieties defined over
a global field of arbitrary characteristic. The talk will focus on the main term of the height zeta function,
whose value is somewhat unexpected in positive characteristic. If time allows, we will also say a few words
about the motivic case.

Keywords:

Height Zeta Function, Turic varieties, Manin's conjectures
