Abstract: |
We propose a scheme to implement half-duplex decode-and-forward and estimate-and-forward relaying. We will first present an achievable rate for the estimate-and-forward protocol in the context of half-duplex relaying. Guided by the coding scheme for the achievable rates, we propose a practically implementable scheme for decode-and-forward and estimate-and-forward relaying. We introduce several simplifications to facilitate implementation. We will also present some simulation results on the performance of the codes in a relay channel.
