VMath - The Next Generation for Math Lectures on Streaming Video

Abstract:

At the Molecular Sciences Institute and all over, researchers apply discrete Bayesian
networks to model intracellular processes, including gene regulation and signal transduction. I will
note a few ways of binning continuous data, such as come from flow cytometry, in order to use
discrete statistical tools. I will review some information-theoretic background on two binning
strategies and present some computational comparisons.
