Abstract:

Recent joint work with Julia Pevtsova investigates aspects of
the representation theory of infinitesimal group schemes. The universal
p-nilpotent operator is introduced and shown to determine the local
Jordan type of modules. This operator also leads to vector bundles on
the projectivization of the spectrum of the cohomology which can
differentiate modules with the same local Jordan type.
