Magnetic Wonderland

Passing from Schrödinger operators to their magnetic brethren yields a plethora of intriguing spectral phenomena. I'll give a selective survey of results in the Euclidean case, showing magnetic fields can be "bad" as well as "nice"; I'll describe the general setting on manifolds and new questions coming up there; finally I'll focus on the case of periodic manifolds and magnetic fields.
