Nonassociative geometry?

Abstract: The double of a Lie bialgebroid (the classical, infinitesimal limit of a quantum group) is a Courant algebroid. This structure carries a skew-symmetric bracket which does not quite satisfy the Jacobi identity. We discuss attempts to understand the geometry associated with this bracket, in particular the corresponding "Lie group-like" object.
