Tropical intersection theory is a useful tool in tropical enumerative geometry. We give a short introduction to the topic covering the basic objects and operations such as tropical cycles, Cartier divisors and intersection products. To gain a better feeling for these objects we will discuss some little examples.
This is part one of a serial of talks about tropical intersection theory. Two futher presentations of the topic will follow.
