The Hilbert compression exponent of a finitely generated group is the best Holder exponent lower bound for the class of Lipschitz embeddings of G into Hilbert space. We show that if G and H are finitely generated groups whose Hilbert compression exponent is positive, then so is the Hilbert compression exponent of the wreath product G ≀ H.
