I will explain how Eric Nordenstam and I guessed and proved a formula for the inverse of a combinatorial matrix with many parameters. We made heavy use of Cramer\'s rule, high-performance computing, the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences, polynomial fitting, and the determinant evaluation techniques of Christian Krattenthaler.
