I will discuss recent advances in zonotopal algebra, a subject that connects analysis problems on multivariate polynomial interpolation and box splines to problems of commutative algebra concerning special polynomial ideals to problems of combinatorics involving hyperplane arrangements and lattice points in zonotopes.
