Abstract/Media

I'll talk about a new result with Alexei Oblomkov, in which we find a filtration by compositions on the diagonal coinvariant algebra DR_n, and prove that the subquotients have an explicit description as modules over one set of variables. This filtration is related to the Bruhat order on affine permutations, and as a corollary implies a monomial basis of DR_n, as well as the Haglund-Loehr formula, first proved by myself and Mellit. Our motivation was to study connections proposed by several researchers (including my coauthor) between parking function combinatorics, affine pavings of the affine Springer fiber, rational Cherednik algebras, and other topics.
