| The Dedication of Shiing-Shen Chern Hall at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) was celebrated on Friday, March 3, 2006. The festivities attended by 200 guests included a reception and tours of Chern Hall conducted by Bill Glass, Architect, David Eisenbud, Director, and Hugo Rossi, Deputy Director. |

| The Dedication celebration culminated with an Inaugural Musical Concert by Matmos (Andrew Daniel and Martin Schmidt) performing the world premiere of a multi-media work entitled, "A Musical Enigma; Matmos Meets Turing," which featured audio from an Enigma machine encrypted into the composition.
