In today's world, data is exploding at a faster rate than computer architectures can handle. This summer school will introduce students to modern and innovative mathematical techniques that address this phenomenon. Hands-on topics will include data mining, compression, classification, topic modeling, large-scale stochastic optimization, and more. Suggested Prerequisites: The minimum requirements for students to benefit from this program are: A foundation in graduate analysis, at least one course An undergraduate degree in Mathematics or related field including courses in Probability and Linear Algebra Some programming experience (Matlab, C, C++, Python, Java, etc.) For eligibility and how to apply, see the Summer Graduate Schools homepage
