Among the other award recipients, Adisa Kruayatidee, a senior at Phillips Exeter Academy from Stevenson Ranch, Calif., was given a bronze medal; and Stoneham resident Andi Wang, who is entering the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a freshman this fall, earned an honorable mention.

The US team’s coach was Zuming Feng, a math teacher at Phillips Exeter Academy who is also the leader of the USA International Mathematical Olympiad team, and director of the Mathematical Olympiad Summer Program. Assistant coaches were Inna Zakharevich, a graduate student at MIT, and Sherry Gong, who attends Harvard University.
