Wang wins gold in math

Danielle Wang, a 15-year-old Campbell resident and Westmont sophomore, recently returned from a trip to Guangzhou, China, where she competed in the 11th annual China Girls Mathematical Olympiad.

Wang was one of eight girls on the U.S. team and one of three who won a gold medal. This was her second consecutive gold medal.

CGMO is an international girls-only competition that encourages young women to develop their mathematical talent and problem-solving skills.
