7. MEMBER APPLICATIONS FOR 2013–14
The application period for the 2013–2014 scientific programs will begin on August 1, 2012. The 2013–2014 programs will be: Mathematical General Relativity; Optimal Transport: Geometry and Dynamics; Model Theory, Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory; and Algebraic Topology.

8. DIVERSITY
The NSF funded mathematics institutes have started a collaborative diversity program. This program will sponsor several mathematics and diversity oriented workshops per year. The full list may be found at: http://www.mathinstitutes.org/diversity.php. The next activity in this series is the Modern Math Workshop. The MMC will take place October 10 - 11, 2012 in Seattle, WA. 9. DONOR RECOGNITION PROGRAMS
The ARCHIMEDES SOCIETY helps MSRI to implement important programs and diversify and plan its future funding. Archimedes Society donor levels celebrate interesting numbers and places. Archimedes Society donors are invited at no or reduced cost to special events, and are offered reserved seating and special post-event receptions.
