Special Events

Join us as we celebrate the life and work of Martin Gardner on Friday, October 26 from 7 - 9:30 pm at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute, located at 17 Gauss Way; Berkeley, CA 94720. 

The event will begin with a viewing of "The Nature of Things" in the Simons Auditorium at 7 pm.  The evening will feature the construction of polytopes using Zometools with Matthias Beck, a Dots & Boxes simul with Elwyn Berlekamp, card tricks with Nancy Blachman, puzzle-solving with Stan Isaacs, a SET Tournament, a wide selection of mathematical games, and a dessert reception.

We encourage you to bring your favorite mathematical game to share with other attendees!
