Wed, April 15, 2009 4:00PM - 5:00PM
Time:4:00PM - 5:00PM
Location:Baker Board Room #245
Speakers:Kevin Tucker, Kevin Tucker
Abstract:We begin by reviewing certain types of singularities, multiplier ideals, and various related topics. There will be plenty of examples, with particular emphasis on the case of surfaces. Later on, we will discuss a way to bound the possible number of LC Centers of an LC pair by examining certain transversality conditions they must satisfy (joint work with Karl Schwede). If time permits, we will also mention positive characteristic analogues of this result.
