| Abstract: | The aim of this talk is to explore some connections between tropical geometry and Bruhat-Tits buildings. After giving an introduction to the theory of Bruhat-Tits building we will explain a tropical interpretation of certain matrix groups occuring as point stabilizers in the buildings. |
