Title: A tropical approach to rational curves on hypersurfaces
Abstract: H. Clemens proved there are no rational curves on a general quintic surface in P3. This is a report on work on progress with T. Bogart and E. Brugallé, in which we attempt to prove an analogous statement in tropical geometry, via the dimension-reduction floor diagram technique introduced by Brugallé and Mikhalkin. |
