The characteristic numbers Z(d,g,t) also called Zeuthen numbers are the number of degree d curves of genus g passing through 3d-1+g-t points and tangent to t lines. I will explain how to tropicalize the problem and use floor diagrams to compute Z(d,g,t) when g is 0 or 1. |
