ContactStochastic and multi-scale modeling is becoming a main driving force in many scientific and engineering disciplines, and is a mong the most exciting areas of scientific research. Indeed, many problems in sciences involve quantifying the behavior of complex systems with a very large number of degrees of freedom. The systems interact on al arge span of scales and require to incorporate stochastic effects to account for model errors and/or disturbances from under-resolvedscales.
This workshop will bring together researchers working in more traditional areas of nonlinear PDE and applied mathematics with cutting edge research in stochastic and multi-scale modeling in atmosphere and ocean dynamics. The Institute is committed to the principles of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action. |
