VPS (for Visual Programming System) is a meta-programming language with an extensive application (VPS/Render) designed for modelling, visualization, and rendering. It was used to create nearly all of the graphics in the Scientific Graphics Project web pages.

VPS consists of two applications, the visual editing module, ved, and the execution module vrun Unix style man pages of ved and vrun are available in PostScript form. VPS has a graphical user interface which may be seen in the Session Snapshots.
