In my talk I introduce Affine Springer fibers. In type A ASF are homeomorphic to the compactified Jacobians.

I will show few low rank examples and will explain what I know about the cohomology of ASF, especially in the case

of homogeneous ASF. Talk is based on joint papers with Zhiwei Yun.
