Julia Sets With Ahlfors-Regular Conformal Dimension One

What is the simplest interesting family of rational maps? In this talk, we introduce a family of post-critically finite rational maps, called crochet maps, and discuss various reasons why crochet maps can be a good answer to the question. In particular, we show that for a post-critically finite hyperbolic rational map, being a crochet map is equivalent to having the minimal conformal dimension of Julia set.
