In this talk we apply the composition lemma to obtain that infinite dimensional vector spaces over dependent fields, equipped with a symmetric or alternate bilinear form, are strictly 2-dependent. This relies on a quantifier elimination result and generalizes Hempel's first example of a 2-dependent algebraic structure.
