GT Program Seminar: Coulomb Branches And KO Theory

I will give a quick review of the construction of Coulomb branches for 3D gauge theory with complex representations (going back to Braverman, Finkelberg and Nakajima) and explain the role of Bott periodicity and real K-theory in the generalization to quaternionic representations.
