Does Lagrangian Floer theory work in families? Yes. How do you prove it? It depends. In this talk I'll talk about how one strategy -- a purely formal operation called localization -- proves rich geometric consequences. (Like: A continuous G-action on an exact symplectic manifold induces a continuous G-action on the wrapped Fukaya category). We'll also discuss applications to a future where we can incarnate algebraic tools, like inverting p, through purely geometric constructions.
