Description
This workshop will bring together new and experienced leaders of math circles for students and teachers. We welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about math circles, especially teachers.  Workshop activities will include discussions, presentations, and a mathematics festival. Participants will begin collaborating before the workshop to develop sample math circle sessions that they will present during the festival. These activities will be collaboratively evaluated and refined during the workshop. The Circle on the Road 2013 Workshop will be held at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez.  For more information, including accommodation recommendations, please visit the following website. PLEASE NOTE:  In addition to the official MSRI registration page, we require that you also complete the questions listed here.  As you are filling out the MSRI registration page, you will notice that many of the questions will not be particularly relevant for some participants, e.g. research area/interests, or the drop down list of institutions that contains universities, colleges, and research institutes. This is because most workshops at MSRI are for professional mathematicians. The Circle on the Road Workshop will be of interest to people outside of the research community.  We ask that you please just fill in the best approximations that you can.
