2021-22 MSRI Status Updates

Beginning August 16, 2021, the MSRI building will only be open to MSRI staff and fully vaccinated members of the 2021-22 scientific programs.

The health and safety of the MSRI community is our top priority at this time. We have made many operational changes to comply with recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and state and local governments, as well as advice from a distinguished epidemiologist at University of California, Berkeley. Members and staff have received instructions on safety measures required for building inhabitants.

Most scientific activities will be available online so that those who cannot attend in person are able to participate. Workshop registrants will receive instructions on online participation upon registration.

We look forward to the day when, in addition, we can again share the excitement of full in-person collaborative research so characteristic of MSRI.

The building will remain closed to the general public until further notice. We will provide regular updates regarding this evolving situation here, via email, and on Twitter @mathmoves. You can monitor this page, which will be updated on a rolling basis as changes are announced.
