Hilbert Society

The Hilbert Society recognizes our most generous supporters whose leadership and commitment ensures MSRI continues to thrive as one of the world’s leading mathematics research centers. Annual membership is awarded to donors of $100,000 or more per year. Donors whose cumulative giving reaches $1 Million become lifetime members of the Hilbert Society.

David Hilbert (1862 –1941) is a towering figure in mathematics. His work powerfully influences fields as diverse as Algebraic Geometry, Number Theory, the Foundations of Mathematics, and Mathematical Physics. The “Hilbert Problems,” from his lecture at the International Congress of Mathematicians in 1900, were the focus of a vast amount of mathematics in the 20th Century.
